Catherine Francoise Pitre was the daughter of Pierre Pitre and Agathe Doucet.
Catherine married Pierre Joubert in 1769 in Saint Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana.
Catherine became the mother of three sons and two daughters. They were: Pierre Joubert (b. 2-19-1770 d. 12-8-1847); Marie Louise Joubert-Fontenot (b. 1771 d. 1-8-1848); Jean Baptiste Joubert (b. 4-9-1776 d. Feb. 1820); Marie Isabelle Joubert-Jeansonne (b. 8-17-1779 d. 3-22-1807); and Francois Joubert (b. 4-27-1781 d. Mar. 1822).
Catherine became the grandmother of 41 grandchildren.
NOTE: As per the information from 'THE SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA RECORDS VOLUME 1B (1801 - 1810), BY REV. DONALD HEBERT, PAGE 400:
The marriage license for Francois Joubert and Sophie Doucet, lists Catherine Pitre as "DECEASED". The marriage license was obtained on Febuary 9, 1807. At this time there is no absolute proof as to the exact date of Catherine's death.
