Mrs Hoffman Dead

Mrs Anton Hoffman, nee Haendelmeyer, died at the Weber Sanatorium, Olney, Friday, Feb 11, 1927 after having undergoing a major operation.

The remains were taken to her home south of Effingham. Funeral services were held at Effingham, Douglas, Effingham, Illinois, USA - St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Sunday afternoon at ten o'clock followed by internment of the body in the parish Cemetery. The obsequities were largely attended in spite of rain and bad roads. Dean Rev Louis Lammert sang the Requiem and Rev Chas Schlepphorst, assistant past of St Anthony's, said the last prayers at the grave.

Deceased is survived by her husband and nine children all of Effingham and Douglas township, namely: (Anna) Mrs S B Feldhake, Getrude, (Frances) Mrs Henry Krogmann, Clara, 'Alice' Mrs john Thoele, Albert, Irene, Arthur and Madeline and one brother, Joseph Haendelmeyer.

Attained age, fifty five years. May she rest in peace.
