The Catholic Press Sydney NSW Thu 29 May 1924; Armidale Diocese:
Mrs. Catherine Lynch, wife of Mr. W. Lynch, of Currabubula, died on Thursday last, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C. Daly, of Pleasant Plains. The late Mrs. Lynch was married at Bourke in 1868, after arriving from Ireland, to Mr. William Hewlett, who died in 1881.
Later she married Mr. W. Lynch at Currabubula. Besides her husband, she leaves eight sons and two daughters, viz.,
Walter, Mrs. C. Daly and Edward (Currabubula), Arthur (Loombrah), John (away). There are 46 grandchildren.
Mrs. Lynch was always of a quiet, retiring disposition. She lived over 40 years in Currabubula district. The funeral took place on Friday, the remains being interred in the Catholic portion of the local cemetery.
