[240] CATHERINE CONE, dau. of Conant Cone [115] and Alice Houghton, b. Princeton, N. J., 1790, in. John Norval in 1813. He was b. in Lexington, Ky., Oct. 14, 1789. Resided in Baltimore, Md., until about 1818, when he removed to Michigan and became quite prominent in State politics. D. at Detroit April 30, 1850. She d. Detroit March 20, 1821.

Norvell, John (1789-1850) — of Detroit, Wayne County, Mich. Born in Danville, Boyle County, Ky., December 21, 1789. Father-in-law of Henry N. Walker. Democrat. Served in the U.S. Army during the War of 1812; delegate to Michigan state constitutional convention 1st District, 1835; U.S. Senator from Michigan, 1837-41; member of University of Michigan board of regents, 1837-39; member of Michigan state house of representatives from Wayne County, 1842; U.S. Attorney for Michigan, 1845-50. Died in Detroit, Wayne County, Mich., April 24, 1850. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Detroit, Mich.
