The Barrett Genealogy
Alexander Ross married Katherine Chambers, a sister of Lydia Chambers, and he became a brother-in-law of Arthur [Barrett]. Ross was also a Quaker of Scotch-Irish descent and came to America as an indentured servant at the age of eleven years. In 1733, he was granted 100,000 acres of land from the Governor of Virginia on a stream called Opecan.
