Notes
From Ka-ti Catherine Kingfisher Harlan Find A Grave Memorial# 48346335
Ka-ti, dau. of Tsu-la (aka Kingfisher) and Nanye'hi (aka Nancy Ward), b. circa 1752 at the former Cherokee Nation East, prob. that part now the State of Tennessee. She was living on Oct. 26, 1825 when she revoked a power of attorney, then wrote her will the following day in which she gave property to Sarah West as the lawful kin of her deceased brother, Five Killer. In this bequest, Sarah West was Ka-ti's own granddau. Ka-ti likely d. at present-day southeast Tennessee, but no specific record exists for confirmation.
Comment: I believe the documents referred to should be attached to a different Katy, the wife of Fivekiller. Sarah West was the daughter of Ka-ti (Kingfisher) and Ellis Harlan. There are court records from 1826 regarding Fivekiller’s estate
