Maryland Marriages, (1778-1800) lists Cary Boyd marrying John Wight on May 21, 1797. Name: Cary Boyd Gender: Female Marriage Date: 21 May 1797 Spouse: Jno. Wight Spouse Gender: Female County: Montgomery County
Although named in his will as Cave, Cava or Cary Boyd appears to be John Wightt's wife's name. He had a grandniece named Cava Boyd Cordingly, also called Cavey, which could mean Cave was a nickname for her second great aunt. In addition, in 1806, John Wightt named Washington Boyd as an executor of his will, along with his wife and grand nephew George Moore. Further, along with his mother, John M Wight named Eleanor Gates Boyd, Washington Boyd's sister, as his heir, along with her daughters. Several references indicate that a Wightt married Nicholas L Queen, thus how he got the inheritance. The only reference to a spouse for Mr. Queen is Eleanor Gates Boyd, Washington Boyd's sister.
