About Cay Ekenberg

Born in Helsingborg in 1923. Cay's parents died from TBC while he was still a boy and he grew up at relatives together with his brother. For some time he served at sea before moving to Laxå in 1940th to join ESAB as a welder. In Laxå he met Gurli and they settled in Örebro and got married in 1947. Gurli had Clark from a previous relationship and soon Kent and Gaby was also born. In 1953 the couple moved to Gustavsberg outside Stockholm, where Cay started at the famous porcelain industry Gustavsberg (later acquired by Villeroy & Bosch). Shifted then career to become a car engineer, later advanced to car sales man at Slussen and Skanstull in Stockholm, representing Chrystler. In the 60th Cay started his own sales shop at Värmdö centrum. Moving on, Cay and Gurli resettled in Marbella, Spain in 1969, where running a restaurant in the 70th. Deceased in Sänna, Askersund in 1989.
