Charles A Lott

Hist of Counties of Faribault, Martin, etc (abt 1895) - bd & place,md, "Charles Addison Lott, a farmer of section 1, Rolling Green Twp,Martin Co, is a son of John J and Caroline (Rose) Lott, natives of Canada. They were married and resided in their native place until the father's death, and in 1870 the mother and children came to the US. She then made her home with our subject until her death in 1889. Mr and Mrs Lott had five children - Augusta Johnston, Laura C James (dec), William F, Charles A, and Albert. Charles A was born in Sidney Twp,Hastings Co,Ontario 27 Mar 1850 and remained there until his father's death. In 1870 he came to MN locating on a homestead in Fraser Twp,Martin Co but afterward sold that place. In 1883 he came to his farm of 200 acres, then only partially improved. He was united in marriage 1 Jan 1877 with Mattie Edwards, a native of IL and dau of J B Edwards, a merchant of Winnebago City. She is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Fairmont."
