Charles Blomfield (5 January 1848–15 March 1926) was an English-born artist who executed several paintings of New Zealand landscapes, including the Pink and White Terraces, a notable natural feature that was later destroyed in the 1886 eruption of Tarawera.

Charles Blomfield is a part of my New Zealand Family Pedigree. His mother Elizabeth Emily Blomfield, widow of William Blomfield UK, came to New Zealand with her family on the S.S. Gertrude in 1863. CharlesBlomfield as you know was a painter of some renown, of the early New Zealand landscape and particulary of the famous pink and white terraces. A good book of his life written by Muriel Williams " Charles Blomfield,his life and times" can be purchased at any good book shop and Tuttles Bookshop USA I have a link for that on my website.Good hunting!Grace:>)
