Charles Edgar Boyes

Solicitor. Uncle Charlie lived in a cottage in Robertson in the Cape, he was a natural batchelor. He worked for Buchanan Boyes law firm. He was a premature baby and the family story is that he spent the first months of his life in a shoe box. A lovely story about Uncle Charlie is of his finding Wills teeth. Will Boyes lost his false teeth in the surf on Fish hoek beach, when he returned home to Rondebosch without them uncle Charlie grilled him as to the exact spot where they came out . Charlie then proceeded to catch the train to Fish hoek, walked into the sea and retrieved them! Uncle Charlie's Mom had a place in Kommetjie.
