About Charles Henry Cash
Charles Henry Cash, one of the best known of the pioneer residents of the Fruitland Peninsula, died Sunday morning at his home at Crescent City, following a short illness. The deceased was 83 years of age, and had resided in Putnam County for nearly half a century. For more than thirty years he was at the head of the ice and water plant at Crescent City, where he owned valuable property. He was held in high esteem by the entire community. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Florence McGregor of Chicago, and two sons, Henry Cash of Detroit, and Philip Cash of Crescent City. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary, dtd 4 Jul 1930.)
