Obituary for Charles Edward Vaughn Charles Edward Vaughn age 73, of Arab passed away Fri. March 16, 2018, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. Edward was born on Feb. 9, 1945, in Gadsden, AL the son of Frank Edward Vaughn and Hazel Woods Vaughn. He was a 1963 graduate of Fairview High School and attended Snead State College and St. Bernard. He had a degree in finance and worked many years for several different banks. He retired after working for People’s Bank for several years. He was married to Geraldine Puckett for 52 years and was a member of Arab First Baptist Church. Before his health failed he was active in civic organizations and had been a long time member of the Holly Pond Lion’s Club. He is survived by his Wife, Geraldine Puckett Vaughn of Arab; Daughter and Son in law, Paula and Kenneth Maze of Guntersville; Sister and Brother in law, Janice and Thomas Berry of Fairview; Brothers in law and Sisters in law, Bud and Jean Shumate of Union Grove, Jerry Puckett of Decatur, Tony and Irma Puckett of Bossier City, Louisiana, Randy and Gwen Hays of Holly Pond and Darrell and Kathy Eddleman of Eva; Host of Nieces, Nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Frank and Hazel Vaughn and his Sister, Joanne Evans. Funeral Service will be Monday March 19, 2018, at 11 AM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arthur Feemster officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Dennis Bennefield, Shannon Shumate, David Eddleman, Robert Hill, John McReynolds and Bill Kessler. Visitation will be on Sun. March 18, 2018, from 6-8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel.
