Obituary for Joanne Evans Joanne Evans age 76, of Arab passed away Thurs. March 2, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Evans was born on March 6, 1940, in Cullman County, AL the daughter of Frank Edward and Hazel Woods Vaughn. She was a 1958 graduate of Fairview High School and graduated from St. Bernard with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She worked at Redstone Arsenal for several years before quitting work to be a stay at home mom. She was married to Willard O. Evans on July 22, 1967, at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of Arab 1st Baptist Church. Her family will always remember her as a loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her Daughters: Andrea Evans Hill and Husband, Robert Hill of Arab and Amy Evans McReynolds and Husband, John McReynolds of Russellville; Brother: Edward Vaughn and Wife, Geraldine Vaughn of Arab; Sister: Janice Berry and Husband, Thomas Berry of Fairview; Grandchildren: Savannah Latham, Evan Latham, Andrew McReynolds, Avery McReynolds and Ellie McReynolds; Nieces: Tonya Berry, Kelly Berry Kessler and Paula Vaughn Maze. Host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Frank and Hazel Vaughn and Husband: Willard O. Evans. Funeral Service will be Sunday March 5, 2017, at 3 PM at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Matt Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be at the Church from 1 PM until service time at 3 PM. Pallbearers will be her Nephews: Kenneth Maze, Bill Kessler, Mike Hayes, Mitch Mason, Paul Protz and Brett Thrower.
