About Dr Charles De La Boulay Fontaine
He was the third child of John and Martha Henry Fontaine and as such a grandson of Patrick Henry. His uncle, Ltc William Fontaine, raised troups for various campaigns & served as their officer throughout the Revolution. The Fontaine family descended from Huguenots and he was named after one of his gr x3 grandfathers who served during the reigh of William III in Schomberg's Regiment as a cavalry officer, Capt. Charles Procurer de La Boulay du Champ. Charles died childless and Anne sold their home. In his 12/27/1817 will he stated: "It is my will that my dear Nancy remain in possession of every kind of interest or property just as if I were living."
