About Charles Douglas Foxworthy-Windsor

Charles "Foxy" Foxworthy-Windsor was a passenger on El Al Flight 402, which was shot down by two Bulgarian MiG-15 jet fighters and crashed near Petrich, Bulgaria, killing all passengers and crew aboard. Foxworthy had just recovered from infantile paralysis, having contracted polio in the early 1950s while a student at Colet Court, London. He was flying to Israel to spend a holiday with friends in the sun, which it was hoped would strengthen the muscles still impaired by the disease.
