Charles George Hood, of Drum, and of Grosvenor - crescent, Edinburgh, architect, b. 1830; m. 20th August, 1868, Jessie Jane, daughter of Wellwood Herries Maxwell, Esq. of Munches, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, J.P. and D.L., M.P. for Kirkcudbright, 1868 to 1874, convener of the Commissioners of Supply, by Jane Home, his wife, eldest daughter of Sir William Jardine, seventh baronet of Applegarth, co. Dumfries, and had two sons and five daughters.
