About Charles E Grant
Sgt. Grant served with the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, "Easy" Company, during D-Day, Operation Market-Garden, The Battle of the Bulge, the Liberation of Hageneu, and the capture of Hitler's Eagle's Nest.
Grant was shot in the head shortly after the war in Europe ended, but survived. His recovery was slow, and until his death, he still had trouble talking, and his left arm was partially paralyzed. He owned a small tobacco shop in San Francisco, where he lived until his death. He attended several of the Easy Company reunions with his wife and became 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment's representative in the 101st Airborne association. He died in 1984.
