About Charles J Grigas
OBITUARY
Husband, of 64 years, to Gladys Lillian (Cunningham) and father of Charles E., Mark, and Sally.
Veteran of World War II, US Army 28th Infantry Division. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded two Purple Heart medals, a Bronze Star, as well as the Good Conduct Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, and the Victory Medal.
He was a letter carrier for 33 years for the US Postal Service in Nashua. At one time he worked for Pratt & Whitney and the former Johns Manville Co. in Nashua. He retired in 1980. From 1981 until 1992, he worked with his son Mark at The Pigeons Market in Manchester, NH.
He had memberships in the American Legion (James E. Coffey Post 3), and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 483, both of Nashua, NH. At one time, he was also a member of the Nashua Historical Society.
He enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, and his backyard fish pond. He was a supporter of the Humane Society of Greater Nashua. He was also a member of the former St. Casimir Parish.
