Charles Lathrop, son of Azariah Lathrop, was baptized on January 14, 1770, in Norwich, Connecticut. Charles Lathrop graduated from Yale in 1788, and became a lawyer. He spent his life in Norwich, Connecticut, in the practice of law. He married Miss Joanna Leffingwell on May 14, 1793, at New Canaan and they had at least 8 known children together. [4]
