C.R. Lawrence, 90, Passes at LeRoy

DALTON, Feb. 13. - CHarles Rosman Lawrence, 90, so of Rosman and Philena Baldwin Lawrence, born in Grove, Allegany county in February, 1861, died Wednesday, February 6, at his home in LeRoy. In politics, Mr. Lawrence was a Republican, serving many years on the town board. He was chairman of the board of school directors for Genesee county for 32 years, a member of Oatka Falls Grange for over half a century, and a deacon of the First Baptist church of LeRoy for 57 years. He is survived by his widow; one son, Donald, of LeRoy and one daughter, Ruth, an instructor in Endicott high school. The funeral was held Saturday at the Steuben Funeral Home, LeRoy. Rev. William R. Spence of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial in Machpelah cemetery, LeRoy.
