Charles Lewis, son of Edward Lewis, Jr. (d. 1698) and his wife Mary, was born on 8 August 1688 (according to FindAGrave) in Old Rappahannock County, Virginia. The part of Rappahannock County that Charles lived in became Richmond County in 1692.

Charles married Mary Barber. Together they had the following children: Elizabeth Lewis. On 4 May 1710, when he was twenty-one, he married Mary Barber, daughter of Capt. William Barber/Barbour & Joyce Bayley, at Old Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia. She bore him two known children, a son and a daughter:

Will

He wrote his will on 17 November 1726.[1] In it he lists sons Edward and Charles; daughters, Catherine and Elizabeth "Betty" ; mentions wife and five children.; executors are friends Samuel Barber and Thomas Nash, Sr; wits: Patrick Miller, John Hammond. [The births of the foll. chil. to Charles and Mary LEWIS are rec. in the NFPR: Joyce (1712), Katherine (1715), Edward (1718), Charles (1720), and Betty (1722), NFPR, p.116.]

His will was probated on 01 February 1727 in Richmond County, Virginia.

He died in North Farnham Parish of unknown causes about January 1727.
