CHARLES ALONZO ORVIS ~
He was an expert Blacksmith & maintained a shop at Ponder, Ripley County, Missouri for 12 years. He moved to Arkansas in 1916 & about 10 years later he moved to Dawson, Tulsa County, Oklahoma for about 7 years & maintained a Blacksmith Shop there. He next traded his place at Dawson for property at Vera, Oklahoma. He platted a residential sub-division in Red Fork, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. It is named the "Orvis Addition". Even tho he was married 6-9 times, (no one really knows for sure), he was a very talented man. He played the Organ & traveled to small country communities to give lessons. He was also a very avid Blacksmith.
