About Charles Christopher Columbus Taylor

The Dresden Enterprise and Sharon Tribune June 20, 1919
Death Follows A Short Illness.
Mr. C. C. (Lum) Taylor died Tuesday at 11 o'clock, following a short illness of typhoid fever. Mr. Taylor was 49 years of age and is survived by his wife and twelve children. One child died in infancy.
Mr. Taylor was one of the most popular farmers of this community. He was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. He was a good farmer, a kind, indulgent husband and father and an Odd Fellow in the truest sense of the term. Mr. Taylor was a consistent, loyal member of the Primitive Baptist church, and services were held at Blooming Grove Wednesday by Eld. A. B. Ross, followed by the Odd Fellows ceremony at the grave.
The bereaved wife and children have the sympathy of many friends in their sore bereavement.
A sad feature of the death of Mr. Taylor is that his son came in Sunday from France, but his father was never conscious after the young man's arrival. This boy and Mr. Taylor were deeply devoted to each other, and some weeks ago when the father told this writer his boy was coming home we noticed the happy expression that played over his countenance.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: May 17 2020, 22:44:42 UTC
