About Charles Tohill aka George Everett Davies

Charles Tohill was born in Dunedin, Otago, on 6 December 1887. His parents were John Tohill (1857-1935) and Sarah Anne Tohill (nee Everitt) (1861-1905). He married Ruby Pearl Smith (1896-1960) in New Zealand in 1912.Charles served during World War I under the name George Everett Davies (also George Everett Davis). He was killed in action in France on 5 August 1917. One of three brothers killed during World War I.
