About Charles W. Parmer
Charles W. Parmer was the son of Albert and Jessie Johnson Parmer and Grandson of James & Lucy Caroline Oldham Parmer. They were farmers and land owners in Johnson County, IN. Charles was a WW2 survivor. He suffered harding of the arteries and delayed stress syndrome from military service. His mental state was compromised in his final years. He was found wandering throughout the small community of Pleasant View Indiana, Marion County, lost..and was brought home several times. He was showing hostility toward his spouse in his later days and he had always been loving, kind, and gentle natured.Charles also suffered disappointments due to the lost of a farm because of a fire started in the adjacent milkhouse. He was a beer drinker and enjoyed a wager or two at his local Parson's Pub. He was a wonderful Grandfather. He was buried in the Pleasant View Cemetary, Moral Township, Shelby Co., Indiana. We were sadden by his tragic end. Pleasant memories of visits to his farms and fun, exciting times were spent with both he and his wife Reba.
