In Geni.com, Charles William Hardick is shown as the brother of the 1st Hardick progenitor, Johan Pieter Hardick 1775 to 1849. Charles William 1863 to 1936 is rather the second South African Progenitor of the Hardick family and not the Brother of Johan Pieter Hardick Whoever built the tree and I assume wanted the Hardick family tree to be shown together and the only way that were possible was to shown them together as 2 brothers.

As per MOOO 6/9/4825 51880, Archives at 72 Roeland Street, Cape Town, South Africa, he died on Sep 9, 1936, stomach cancer in Post Elizabeth at his home. He died after 73 years and 7 months.

His first marriage was with Jane Tylee on Dec 25, 1882 in Hay Hill Chapel, London, England. Jane was born on Mar 11, 1859 (Bath UK ref: Bath 5c 746 June 1859) and died June 1924. She was buried in the family plot, Ridgeway Park Cemetery - Fishponds, Bristol, England in June 1924. (Reference Bristol 6a, 178 June 1924)

His second marriage was with Louisa (Lucy) Farley on Aug 24, 1925. Reference; Islington London UK - ref: Islington 1b 686 Sept 1925). Louisa was born on Apr 20, 1866 at Tiverton, Devonshire, England and died Jul 7, 1937. She is the daughter of William Farley 1831 to 1908 and mother Charlotte Farley (born Stevens) 1833 – 1913. She emigrated from England with Charles. The emigration date is unknown, but we can assume that it might be 1900 when their first child was born.

They resided in 41 Donkin Street, Post Elizabeth, South Africa. On the photo on the left, is what the address looks like today.
