Toledo Blade newspaper, December 3, 1941:

"Death Takes Youth Leader. The Rev. C. F. Yeager of East Church Dies In His Home.

The Rev. Charles F. Yeager, 56, of 4201 Mason Street, died at 4 p.m. yesterday in his home after a long illness. Mr. Yeager for many years had been a church and Sunday school worker, serving as superintendent of the young people's department of the Toledo Sunday School Association, as well as in the East Side Community Y.M.C.A. and the East Church of Christ. In East Church, he developed one of the largest boys' classes in Toledo. He assisted in the movement that resulted in the erection of the present church as well as in more recent improvements. He organized city-wide youth movements, including Easter services in the parks and often spoke at various churches. Only recently was he ordained into the ministry in East Church. An employee in the Baltimore & Ohio shops in southeast Toledo, he was born in Lima, Ohio, but had lived in Toledo nearly 40 years. He is survived by his wife, MARGARET, son, George of Pontiac, Michigan, and daughter, Mrs. Virginia Krieg of Toledo; a sister, Mrs. William Hardman of Toledo and brothers John and William Yeager of Buchanan, Michigan. The body will be in the Worth Clegg funeral home until 10 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the East Church for services at 1 p.m. The Rev. George E. Groves, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery."
