!INTERIM SOURCE NOTE: This person is part of the generation that came to Acadia from France or was a member of the first few succeeding generations who lived in Acadia in the 1600s and early 1700s. Information on this person is from one or more of the secondary sources listed below. Until I find the time to add the specific source information (volume/page and exact source) this interim note will have to suffice. The sources are: Denis Beauregard's Dictionnaire Genealogique de la Ancienne Acadie is located at http://www.francogene.com/dgaa/index.php (explanation in both English and French at viewer's option; dictionnaire in French). His Francogene, an extensive list of Acadian genealogical sources and bibliography is located at http://www.francogene.com/acadia/resources.php (in English). Acadian History and Genealogy website (gives brief history of Acadia and some selected Acadian family trees), at http://www.craftconn.com/genealogy/acadianh.htm (in English). Children of Charles BOUDROT and Marie RIVET
It is difficult to know the exact number or any of the names of this couple due to conflicting census information and the fact that children were only counted but not named on these censuses. It is presumed that the couple married around 1700. On the 1703 census, there are 6 children listed - impossible to have for their ages and time period. On the 1707 census, there or NO children mentioned/counted. On the 1714 census, there are 2 boys and 1 girl listed. I have gone with the info on the 1714 census and created 2 sons and 1 daughter (unnamed) all born between 1707 to 1714 (as they weren't on the 1707 census but were on the 1714) and all with death dates after 1714 since they were alive for the census. It is unknown if they survived to adulthood or not. At present, there are no known BOUDROT persons from this time period that are un-ascribed to other family and therefore can be ascribed to this family. The Acadian records a sparse between 1715-1750. It's possible they died as children or lived to adulthood but their names are not recorded on any of the surviving and currently extant records.
