Charles Vernon Sullivan 89, husband of Reva Huff Sullivan of Winchester, passed away on Fri., Jan. 6, 2012 at the Clark Regional Medical Center. Mr. Sullivan was born in Lily, KY on March 3, 1922 to the late Jess and Deva Black Sullivan. He was a former used car lot owner, former employee of the Bluegrass Army Depot, and the former co-owner of the Little Sack Grocery in Richmond. He attended the First Church of God, was a Kentucky Colonel and was a World War II Army Veteran.
Additional survivors include his son, Charles Michael Sullivan of Richmond; his daughter, Donna Lynn Sullivan of Lexington; 6 grandchildren, Lark Watts, Suzanne Watts Crawford, Lisa Crowe Sosa, Taylor Crowe, Evan Sullivan, and Sarah Beth Sullivan; 8 great grandchildren; and his brother, James Sullivan of Independence, KY.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tues., Jan. 10 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Janice Claypoole and Rev. Chad Keathley. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Sullivan's grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Mon., Jan. 9 at the funeral home.
