Mary Charlotte Gary called Charlotte, married William David Carrico, a farmer, January 18, 1866, Panola County, Texas, where she was born. William Carrico was a son of Matthew Gillaspie Carrico born 1809/1810 Kentucky and Rachel S. Wilkinson born 1817/1818 Louisiana. Matthew Gillaspie Carrico served The Republic of Texas in 1836 with Company of Kentucky Volunteers 1st Regiment. In 1844 Matthew Gillaspie Carrico served with Mounted Volunteers, Shelby County, Texas. Sometimes he was listed as Martin G. Carrico.

Mary Charlotte Gary's parents were James Henry Gary born May 19, 1813 in Newberry County, South Carolina and Nancy Murry born 1816/1817 Louisiana. James Henry Gary (1st) marriage was to Nancy Murry November 11, 1830, Sumter, Alabama. They traveled with the Gary family through the years until they arrived in Texas in 1849.

James Henry Gary and Nancy Murry Gary settled in Panola County. His parents William Whitten Gary and Rutha Gordon daughter of Govin Gordon, his brothers and sisters and family journeyed to Rusk County in 1849. Some settled in Rusk County while others settled in Bosque County, Texas in 1851. James' brother Govy Gordon Gary, and brother Andrew "Jackson" Gary, settled in San Augustine County, TX about 30 miles from Panola County where James Henry Gary lived a few years later. Nancy Murry Gary died 1852 - 1856. Her burial place is thought to be in Panola County, Texas. James Henry Gary (2nd) marriage was to Mrs. Olivet S. White January 5, 1856 Panola County, Texas. They divorced November 29, 1864 Panola County, Texas.

Ball: b 1854 Panola County, Texas - d April 4, 1892 Panola County, Texas, age 38. Carrie Ritter: b 1875 Texas - d March 29, 1929 Panola County, Texas. Carl "Coral" Carrico and Carrie Ritter Carrico both Mount Bethel Cemetery, Panola County, Texas. Special thanks to D.L. Carrico a descendant who shared information regarding Carl "Coral" Carrico. In 1880 US Census Justice Precinct No. 8 Panola Couty, Texas his name was spelled Coral L. Carrico, age 11. The cemetery listing has his first name spelled Carl. His name could have been spelled by phonics as was done in 18th & 19th century.

John Sampson Ritter married (2) Vadie Hammond March 14, 1911. Vadie Hammond Ritter: b May 28, 1879 Mississippi - d May 24, 1960 Tenaha, Shelby County, Texas. 4. William Lorenzo "Wren" Carrico: b November 14, 1873 Panola County, Texas - d June 23, 1923. Married (1) Winnie Ardelia Morris November 23, 1898 Sabine County, Texas. Minnie Ardelia Morris: b October 25, 1892 TX - d October 4, 1903 (age 21 years). Minnie Morris Carrico died 5 days after birth of their second child, named Minnie to honor her. Both Wood Cemetery. William "Wren" Carrico married (2) to Mollie Elnora Zeagleron January 15, 1905. They became parents of five children. She died many years after William "Wren" Carrico on October 30, 1965, in Jefferson County, Texas. Buried Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper, Jasper County, Texas.

Reared by twice widowed Grandmother Mary Ann Jackson (Carter) [Gary] Loggins (buried under last name Gary) after his Mother Cynthia Elvira Gary Wright's death at age 34.
