Charlotte Betty was born in 1767 in Brunswick County, Virginia Colony, United Kingdom of Great Britain. Her parents were Thomas Betty [1]and Jane Farrington.[2]

She married Harbert Lewis on June 25, 1787.[3] Together they had 9 children:
