"In 1879, Chester Call and his nephew Christian Nelson established a ranch here for the grazing of horses. Chester persuaded some of his relatives to relocate from Bountiful, Utah, to the area, and by 1882 a number of families were living in the vicinity. Desiring a more organized settlement, church leaders from Utah designated a town site, and directed the laying out of a town grid on high ground. The town called Chesterfield after an English location and in honor of Chester Call."

Chester Vinson call was born on October 6, 1859 in Bountiful, Davis, Utah. To Anson Vasco Call and Charlotte Holbrook Call or Eliza Kent Call. There is some debate as to which wife of Anson Call's was Chester's mother. There is evidence both ways. When Chester was a young boy Anson and his first wife Charlotte died. Chester was raised by Eliza Kent Call.

On Oct 1880 in Salt lake City, Utah Chester married Annis Janette Barlow, and to this union they had 9 children:

Chester Call died at the age of 83 on Jan 16, 1943, in Salt Lake City Utah, due to chronic myocarditis (heart attack). He was buried next to his first wife Annis in Grove City cemetery in Blackfoot Idaho.

Charles Vinson Call was the son of Anson Vasco Call and Eliza Catherine Kent. His death certificate, historical documentation in his children's histories, picture pedigree charts, documentation in the Call family books, etc, all indicate this. Anonymous
