Jack (Yaakov) Cesler was born in Kovno, Lithuania on April 11, 1922.
He was the youngest son of Aaron and Chiena Rachel Cesler.
Jack married Annette (nee Baldachin) on November 10 1946 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). They had 3 children: Sharon Ruth, Adrienne Jane and Robert Paul. Jack died in Johannesburg, S. Africa, and is buried next to Annette in the Benoni cemetary.
