Christiaan "Christo" Jacobus Olivier (1944 - 2002)

Brief overview:

Christo (58), a tenant on a smallholding in Jan Kempdorp, was found murdered and buried in a shallow grave near his house earlier on Wednesday 5th August 2002. "The victim's throat was cut open with a knife. The knife was later discovered in the house," Superintendent Hendrik Swart said.

Some of Olivier's groceries were also missing, but were later discovered by police in a nearby field.

A 44 year old, and a teenager were arrested and due to appear in the Jan Kempdorp magistrate's court on Thursday.
