We were all still very eager to learn more about the Prins (O' Brien) Ydna connections. We tested another very direct and close male family member:
Frans Edward Prins *1965.

Frans Edward Prins *1965 is Christian Frederick Prins *1937 (Chris or Fred)'s first cousin, once removed.

The above Frans Edward *1965 - bears the changed surname Prins (without the O' Brien in his name, or surname) and he is closely linked to this elusive 1st old S/V PROG forefather in his Y dna branch, in the Prins ( O'Brien) line. Frans 's Y dna shows that some of his dna markers are possibly more inclined towards the O’ Niall / O' Neill clans and maybe not so much towards the O’ Brien clans!?) Weird! The plot thickens .......
Frans's very in depth testing for Y dna was: R-M269 and R-BY176666.

NB: The latest dna test results shows that this DNA signature R-BY177153 is associated with the Tyrone line of O'Neills. This O'Brien Cluster was originally an O'Neill branch but likely changed their name because In 1435, Brian Og (progenitor for the O'Brien line) was seized by Eoghan O’Neill (d1427) and his hand and foot was severed, and two of his sons mutilated, one of whom died immediately:
