Christeen- Christian-Christine-Christina are all variations of the spelling of our grandmother' s first name. On the family sheet of Maud Starks, she is listed as Christeen. On Lafayette Henry's (her son) death certificate, she is listed as Christine. My mother, her granddaughter, referred to her as Christian. In the Byler information, she is referred to as Christina. On the 1860 census of Wayne Co., TN, she is listed as Katherine. One of her sons, James, named one of his daughters Christian. Maybe this was a nick name. Anyway, both she and her husband, John, lived well into their ninties.

According to a letter written by Edgar D. Byler, III, written
November 7, 1987, William Nathaniel (Annual) Adkinson was in
Giles Co., TN, before 1820. He was in Lawrence Co. until 1845
when he and his family moved to Wayne Co., TN. The information
on the Adkinson family sheet came from Maud Starks of Tempe,
AZ. She has been deceased for a number of years. According to
her this was information that had been kept by the family. This
information was provided by Mr. Byler.
