About Christian Yoder King

- He moved his family five times including two places in Lancaster County, Mifflin County, PA & Fairfield County, Ohio. While in Lancaster County, he was ordained as a minister in the Amish Church. He lived on the first farm west of Intercourse. He had four children in his first marriage; then married Elizabeth Beiler. When she died, he married a lady whose name was Mary. They were both buried in Fairfield Co., OH - Christian moved from Berks Co. to Leacock Twp, Lancaster Co. In 1806 he moved from Lancaster Co to Mifflin Co, PA on the McVeytown side at Three Locks near Lock Port. In 1815 he moved to the Lower River Mifflin Co. settlement. After his wife's death he moved to Huntingdon Co, PA, then to Fairfield Co, (1833) southeast of Columbus, OH. (Duane Kauffman, MCMHS newsletter, Sept 2013) - On April 10, 1819, they purchased land in the Lower River settlement at Wayne, Mifflin County. In 1833 they relocated near Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio. The will mentioned a third wife, "my beloved Mary Koenig," who may have come from Fulton County.
