Christian Meyer and his wife were members of the Mennonite Church. By the year 1776 Christian had acquired a total of 232 acres and 132 perches. Most of his children took the Moyer name.

The Moyer History states that Christian Meyer's wife was Susanna Detweiler. However, Susanna is too young to be the mother of Christian's elder children. His first wife was Mary who died c.1760. Christian then married Susanna c.1762. He and his wives are probably buried at Delp's Cemetery with his parents and eldest son.
