Mrs Scott(sic) before marriage was Miss Sybilla Roell. She b Apr 20, 1869, dtr of Mr & Mrs C Roell. She grew to womanhood in this city, but for last 30 yrs made home in Mpls. Husband, Scott B McIntyre d 6 yrs ago. She leaves to mourn her death parents Mr & Mrs C Roell & 3 Bro, Nicholas & Joseph of this City & John of Minot ND; & 2 sis, Mrs John Endres of this city & Mrs John Paukert of Parshall ND. Funeral svcs held Thurs morning at 9 o'clock at St Lawrence Church. Interment in St Lawrence Cem. 6 nephews of deceased acted as pallbearers.

Roell Christian Bio Book-Historical Sketch of Parish Immaculate Conception by Johanna M OLeary, 1938 Christian Roell & wife (Margaret Niedenthal) came from Ger to St Cloud, MN, & then came to Faribault, arriving here in 1869. He was stone mason & worked a quarry, where he had set up his home in southern part of city. There was grt demand for stone & for masons then. There were 13 children, 2 of whom d shortly after arrival here in deadly typhoid fever epidemic. Those who grew to maturity are: Mary (Mrs John Endres, dec), Nicholas, John, Sybilla (Mrs McIntyre), George & Conrad, twins, Joseph & Elizabeth (Mrs Paukert). At opening of Span-Am War, George enlisted & was victim of typhoid fever epidemic which sacrificed so many young men-more by far than Spanish bullets. Twin bro went south to bring remains home &, w/in few wks, he, too, gave up his life, victim to same dread disease.
