Christian (29), a cattle breeder and dairy farmer, from Lindley near Steynsrus in the Free State was shot dead by an unknown number of attackers on 30 November 2021.

His body was found by the police on the R59 in the Marlbank area in Barrage, when his pick-up truck had been spotted next to the road.
