Purchased Hotel when mother died leaving seven Whitfield Cottages and 5 cottages near the Hollow Living as "Mrs I'Anson" at Talbot Hotel, Wednesbury in March 1904 Lived at No. 7 Luan St, Liniorra, Christchurch, NZ, initially as Mrs Oldbury - half-sister Mary J Whitfield sent a postcard to her there, of Witton Castle, saying she spent many hours there as a child. Later lived as "North" (next man?) From NZ, went to Tasmania, New Norfolk, then Sealake, Victoria and set up a teahouse there
When son William came back from WWI, he got a soldiers' settlement for purchase of Murray area land, complained and resettled in Maimaru. Tony had money of his own and he bought in Myrtleford. Christiana interfered with the sons' girlfriends.
