CHRISTINA OLIVE ANDERSON May 11, 1924 - April 30, 2003 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Christina Olive Anderson on April 30, 2003. With her loving daughters, Stella, Rita, Karen and daughter-in-law Doreen by her side, mom entered eternal rest. Mom leaves to mourn, her sons, Edward (Doreen) Thompson, Leslie (Caroline) Thompson, Jeffrey (Lisa) Thompson, Stewart and Preston (Lesley) Thompson; her daughters, Stella (Walter) Woodhouse, Rita (Alan) Letandre, Shirley Sanderson and Karen (John) Letandre; her son-in-law John Sanderson; her daughter-in-law Norma Thompson; her sister-in-law Mary Bruce; her godchild Darlene Sumner; as well as 35 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Mom also leaves to mourn her stepchildren, Mary Ann OMeara, Alice (Walter) Gergiel, Myles Anderson, Evelyn Anderson, Doris Anderson, Isabella (Jerry) Sumner and Elsie Thompson; her step-daughters-in-law Karen and Leona; as well as numerous step-grandchildren. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, David (Elsie) Bruce, Alex Bruce and Glen Bruce; her sister Irma Sumner; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mom was predeceased by her first husband Louis Thompson in 1963; her second husband Robert Anderson in 1996; her sons, Felix, Eric and Stewart; her grandchildren, Cora Lee, Tyson and Lindsay; her parents Alex and Ida Bruce; brother Alfred Bruce and a brother in infancy; sister Mary Laquette; her stepsons Louis and Leonard; her stepdaughter Sarah, step-grandchild Kim, step-sons-in-law, Maurice Beardy, Edward OMeara and Clare Thompson. The family would like to thank all the people who have supported and comforted them, a special thanks to the staff at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home for the exceptional care and compassion you gave to mom over the past 2 1/2 years. The care that you gave to mom will never be forgotten. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, Manitoba, with Pastor Wilfred Bruce officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Helens Anglican Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christinas memory to the Eriksdale Personal Care Home.
