About Christina Bowles
OBITUARY:
Funeral services for Christina Andrew Bowles, 71, wife of George Bowles, patriarch of Hollywood Stake and former bishop of the Belvedere Ward here, will be held at the Belvedere Ward tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. with Bishop Richard A. Brower officiating. Elier Rufus K. Hardy of the First Council of Seventy will speak.
Mrs. Bowles Mrs. Bowles died unexpectedly Saturday in a Los Angeles Hospital.
The daughter of Frederick and Mary Ann Fisher Andrew, Mrs. Bowles was born in Salt Lake City. Surviving are her husband, a son, George A. Bowles; four grandchildren and three brothers, Albert, Orson and Samuel Andrew.
Mrs. Bowles was an active Church worker throughout her life. She was president of the New Zealand Relief Society when her husband headed the mission there. As a missionary to the Hawaiian Islands, she worked in the Temple and upon her return to Salt Lake continued serving in the Temple here. At the time of her death, she was an active member of the Wilshire Ward Relief Society.
Friends may call at 260 East South Temple Street from 4 to 8 p.m. today and at the home of her son, 615 Redondo Avenue, from 10 a.m. until noon tomorrow. Interment will take place in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. BURIAL: 11-26-37.
