History

What has come of Jöns Carlsson Svinhuvud (nr: 199) and Beata Persdotter Gyllensvärd (nr. 240) children?

Elizabeth married Lieutenant Olof Dahlberg but soon became a widow, she settled in Mulseryd, where she died on December of 1731 and was buried on December 1, 1731. Johan became charged with manslaughter in 1679, next Maria Catharina Svinhufvud, who married Johan Carl Rosenschantz. Their children, Beata, Johan Jürgen, Anna Rosina, Martha, Christina born in 1687, Catharina born 25 November 1691. Christina and the younger children were born, probably with her grandmother in Mulseryd, for there was security, when the husband and father of the child was probably busy with fulfilling his military duties elsewhere. Christina then grew up in Femsjö, I am quite sure, because she often stood as godmother at christenings in the village because of war, it was certainly a lack of more or less blue blooded men at a suitable age that could stand in as godfathers. On May 17, 1711, Christina marries a farmhand Bengt Andersson. Bengt Andersson Skantz was born on 14 March 1680 in Eskelbo in Torup parish in Halland. Bengt parents, Anders Jonsson & Kirstin Jonsdotter married on June 18, 1676, his father also a farmer born around 1646 and died in Eskelbo. Kirstin Jönsdotter, born on the farm in 1655 and died when Bob was 5 years old, 15 February 1685. She was the daughter of Jons with Henrik Augustsson, also born on the yard in 1628, where he died on 30 April 1692. Kirstin’s mother was Ingrid Eriksdotter who died after September 15, 1678, after they married, their first child Carl Bengtsson was born on 19 July 1712, then a daughter Christina born on 9 January 1714, who died the same year on December 8, 1714. Sometime during the first part 1715, Bengt and Christina took over Brad and Christina’s farm located in Lilla Duvhult in Femsjö. Christina’s mother Maria Catharina Svinhufvud lived at boarders until her death in 1720. On 17 September 1715, it was time for the next child, which was born the daughter Christina on Small Duvhult. (Christina is a strongly rooted name among all Johan Carl's children and grandchildren, and the name will be helpful to find past ancestors). Life went on at Little Duvhult, which is located some distance from Femsjö towards Lidhult, wrapped in lush forest with many acres of rock gardens which is still a wonderful place, In the 1700 's the vast wood in Femsjö and potty be representation and tar burning was a gainful employment. On the farm in Lilla Duvhult comes more kids born to Bengt and Christina, Johan born 1719, 14 March, Gustav Born on 21 March 1721, Catharina born on 15 March 1724, Anders born 11 January 1727 and Jonas 6 June 1730. Carl in 1727, then 12 years old had left home. Where he was and what he did, I can only speculate, but given that he signs the register lengths 1747 in Torrlösa, I think he went to school in a foreign city. At that time, elders stayed at home, then son Johan passed away on new year's day, just sly of 15 years old. It was not only childbirth but sadness on Tiny Duvhult, Then on June 1, 1740, they had a wedding on the farm, their daughter Christina marries Sven Persson from Fog mountain from the border of Bedford parish. The family had a lively interaction with the families in the neighborhood and often put up as godparents to each other's children. Bengt Andersson's brother Sven lived in Råhult, Femsjö. He had 11 children with three wives. Sven married at the age of 63, with th 25 year old Margareta and completed his three children with her, so some "barnöl" were it safe.

The grim reaper comes to the farm in September - October 1745, it was a fatal disease at Little Duvhult. Bengt Andersson died first, then youngest son Jonas, they were both buried on 6 October in the same grave at Femsjö cemetery. Shortly there after a friend died, the wife of Sven Botil Ja larsdotter from Ulfvnäs. their daughter, Christina was probably at home helping who also died shortly after, buried on November 3 at Femsjö Cemetery. Carl Gustav and Anders had left home earlier, so now there were only mom Christina and daughter Catharina left in Little Duvhult. After Christina remarried with the above mentioned Sven Ulfvnäs and 11 October 1746, moves with him to Ulfvnäs, she took her daughter Catharina, who married 29 December 1745 with the Bell Jean (Johan) Håkansson from Elmås of Little Duvhult. Soon infant cries could be heard on the farm again, on 15 June 1746 Britta was born, then Anders on 29 June 1748, then came Stina born on 2 October 1750, the last child born on Little Duvhult was Maria born December 20,1754. Unfortunately, she was only a few months old when she died on May 30, 1755. The family had settled in Elmås when Elin comes into the world on December 8, 1763. (Elin's daughter Britta can follow an article in Trehäradsbladet).1 December 1750 were Christina Rosenschantz or as she now called herself johansdotter, widow. However, she then married again for the third time. This time the man came from a farm from Togabo # 2, Torup (Halland). It was Thor Bengtsson and the marriage took place in Femsjö 28 June 1752. Happiness lasted only a few years, then on November 10 1758 Christina Johansdotter Rosenschantz, died at age 71 years old at the new place of residence, the farm in Togabo in Torup parish. She received her final resting place at Femsjö cemetery on 26 November 1758
