Obituary in The Udall News, October 29, 1904:
Mrs. Christina Valentine departed this life at the home of her son in Vernon Township Monday, October 24, her 82nd year. Her home was in Oklahoma and she was paying her son a visit a visit at the time of her unexpected demise.
She had been a member of the Methodist Chruch for thirty years and it was a request that our local pastor, Rev. C. D. Whitman was called to administer the last sad rites. The funeral was conducted from the Vernon church and the remains laid to rest in the Vernon Cemetery.
