Date: The day after St Martin, 18 Richard [II] [12 November 1394]. And afterwards two weeks from Easter in the same year [25 April 1395].
Parties: Christopher Flemmyng' and Leva (Leua) (or Lena), his wife, querents, and Thomas Flemmyng', knight, and Elizabeth, his wife, deforciants.
Property: The manor [sic] of Heghebray and Esse Roges, excepting 200 acres of wood in the same manors and the advowson of the church of the manor of Heghebray, in the county of Devon and the manor of Cherlton' in the county of Berkshire.
Action: Plea of covenant.
Agreement: Thomas and Elizabeth have granted to Christopher and Leva the manors of Heghebray and Esse Roges and have rendered them to them in the court, to hold to Christopher and Leva and the heirs of their bodies, of Thomas and Elizabeth and the heirs of Thomas for ever, rendering yearly 1 rose at the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist, and doing to the chief lords all other services. And besides Thomas and Elizabeth granted for themselves and the heirs of Thomas that the manor of Cherlton' - which John Baynolf' held for life of the inheritance of Thomas on the day the agreement was made, and which after the decease of John ought to revert to Thomas and Elizabeth and the heirs of Thomas - after the decease of John shall remain to Christopher and Leva and their aforesaid heirs, to hold together with the aforesaid manors of Thomas and Elizabeth and the heirs of Thomas, by the aforesaid services for ever. In default of such heirs, the manors shall revert to Thomas and Elizabeth and the heirs of Thomas, quit of the other heirs of Christopher and Leva, to hold of the chief lords for ever.
Warranty: Warranty.
For this: Christopher and Leva have given them 200 pounds sterling.

An entry in the Close Rolls, dated 12 June 1471, Westminster, mentions: "Christopher Flemmyng took to wife Levita daughter of Martin Ferrers and had issue John Flemmyng esquire, who had issue Christopher Flemmyng esquire, Anne, and Anne (the younger): after which Levita died, and Christopher the elder took to wife Elizabeth Ogaun and had issue by her, David Flemmyng"
