Christopher Gunvaldsen Renna Smerud

Per Vernon Gunvalson: Christopher had lived on Smerud, Strandivereie, Gunbjorniedeie, Raenna and Buttingsrud. Christopher and his family, with the exception of his dtr Karin, came to the USA about 1873, probably remained in the Fillmore County area for about three years, and then moved north to homestead in New Prairie Township, Pope County. A grandson, Olaf, stayed with him perhaps in the 1890's. Later, he was supposed to have stayed with his dtr Karen at Rothsay, MN.
