Notes
HIST: Christopher (poss. s/o John 7), One child possibly was the unidentified Christopher, cordwainer, Falmouth whose deed of 1734 includes phrase "my right and my brethren which we have or ought to have in our grandfather Christopher M., late of Kittery deceased" (Y. D. 17: 49). This Christopher married 1 Dec. 1715 Eleanor Larrabee (6); of Kittery, he bought in Falmouth in 1726 and was living there with her 1748 and later, age 59 in Nov. 1750 (addition p. 792).
Research Notes
Note that the research connecting Christopher Mitchell as spouse of a Sarah Dudley is not documented by a primary source. No record of marriage exists, beyond the mention her name was "Sarah". The fact that there is an illegitimate daughter of Margaret Dudley born ca. 1664 is mentioned in [1] However this reference from Watson's work is referencing [2] This reference simply states that Sarah Dudley / Pafat "by my reckoning married as his second wife, sometime before 1694, Christopher Mitchell of Kittery, ME." The only association is the fact that some of Christopher and Sarah's descendants chose the surname of Dudley and Winthrop. Since there is no reference to a marriage record, deed, probate or court record calling Christopher's wife Sarah a Dudley or a Pafat this should be regarded as an unverified claim.

- We Relate suggests that his 2nd wife was Sarah Couch: We Relate: Christopher Mitchell but she was the wife of his brother, Richard Mitchell, according to Old Kittery and her families, pg. 611
