About Christopher Christian Weidemann

Christopher Christian Weidemann (born April 14, 1779 at Central Rustad in Toten, death August 27, 1858 at Billerud in Eastern Toten) was a politician and official.

He was son of Lars Weidemann, and one of his brothers was Lauritz Weidemann. Christopher Christian Weidemann were married Marie Magdalene Christiane Jacobins Lycke, born in Christianshavn in Denmark 3 August 1784 and the death of Billerud 8 March 1867.

Weidemann was a student in 1795, took the Latin-legal examination, theoretical examination in 1800 and practical in 1802. He was in 1800 kopist interest in the Chamber and for each representative the same place. He was later appointed byfogd and politimester in Christiania, but the search had to resign in 1814, after having threatened a arrestant to the confession by turning him with a tree.

Some climbing further up the judicial career ladder was now difficult, but in 1817 he was appointed sorenskriver in Toten, Vardal and Auckland after his brother Lauritz Weidemann. This office, he had to in 1853; in other words, a 36-year career as sorenskriver on Toten.

He was parliament 1824-26. Weidemann was also president of Odel events.

Weidemann must also mentioned in connection with the garden Billerud, where he lived for 40 years. It was Weidemann that gave the main building at Billerud its current appearance by building on the second floor. He was also Peder Balke to male audience in 1833-34.
